Breakfast Seminar: See Clearly – Making operational risk in mining visible
On Wednesday 24 May 2017, IsoMetrix, in partnership with MineRP, will host another much-anticipated breakfast seminar at the Indaba Hotel, Fourways. The seminar is specially designed for the mining industry, and will explore the topic:
“See Clearly – Making operational risk in mining visible.”
Operational risk in mining is complex. Increasing visibility can improve decision-making, minimize incidents and accidents and reduce the incidence of mine closures. IsoMetrix and MineRP are hosting a breakfast seminar to explore how technology can assist you to see risk clearly, through truly integrated risk management. The seminar will also examine the importance of business analytics through spatial visualization of data. We are delighted to have IsoMetrix Founder and Director, Paul de Kock and Empie Strydom, Vice President of Marketing at MineRP presenting the keynote addresses.

Empie Strydom – Vice President Marketing, MineRP
With a background in enterprise software development and architecture, Empie currently responsible for the go-to-market strategy of MineRP, an international software company providing enterprise integration software for the mining industry. During his career, Empie has developed and implemented integrated enterprise risk management solutions used by many of the large South African mining companies, including AngloGold Ashanti, Anglo Platinum, Lonmin and others, and has also program managed such implementations in the airports industry in South Africa, India and elsewhere.

Paul de Kock – Founder and Director, IsoMetrix
Paul obtained his BSc and BSC (Hons) degrees from the University of Natal and completed the Advanced Management Programme (MAP) at the University of the Witwatersrand.
Paul has 25 years of experience in the development and implementation of integrated management systems in a variety of sectors including mining, energy, petrochemical, logistics and financial services. Paul’s specific areas of specialization include integrated Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems, Enterprise Risk, Compliance and HSE. Paul has worked across Africa and is well versed in the complexities of GRC within the mining industry.
